Alcatel is a Chinese company which produces feature rich smartphones to make its presence in the mobile market. It has included budget, mid-range and high-end smartphones in its portfolio. It introduced its first Hero series smartphone in year 2013. The Alcatel One Touch Hero 2C is one of the hero series phablet launched in 2015. It holds a quite decent specifications like 4G connectivity, HD display, sharp 13 MP camera, power packed battery and Quad-core processor. The sales package of the device contains micro USB charger, USB cable, quick user guide and 3.5 mm jack stereo headset.

Display and Design

It packs 6- inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen at front with 720x1280 pixels resolution and 16 M color display. It supports multi touch gestures of up to 5 points and is coated with Oleophobic coating for the protection. The big screen is good for providing clear display of any photo, video or text file but at the same time it doesn't support comfort while holding in hand. Dimensions of the phablet are measured as 162.4x83.4x8.69 mm (HxWxT) and it weighs around 185 grams. The sensors support by this device are proximity and light sensor.

Processor and OS

It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system which provides new features and improved design to the device.  Processing the phablet is a 1.2Ghz Quad core processor which is coupled with 1 GB RAM to handle all the operations of the phone to provide smooth functioning of the applications.

Camera and Memory

For the wonderful photography, it is equipped with 13 MP camera at the back panel and 5 MP camera at front. The camera features of the device includes auto-focus, touch focus, smile detection, geo-tagging, HDR, panorama/night mode, burst mode, timer LED flash and digital zoom. It also allows recording as well as playback of full HD videos. For storage, it packs an internal memory of 16 GB which can be further expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

It operates on 2G, 3G and 4G network frequencies. The connectivity options of the device includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, MicroUSB 2.0 and GPS/A-GPS. For the backup, it comes loaded with Lithium 3400 mAH battery which provides a 2G talktime of up to 22h and 3G talktime of 13h along with a standby time of up to 700 h(2G), 560h(3G) and 400h(4G).
