Alcatel has got a new life with Android and has continuously improved its offerings over time. The One Touch Hero is one such good example which the company introduced with excellent camera and outstanding storage capacity. It is a dual SIM smartphone which got released in September, 2013. It comes in pack with a charger, handset, battery, headphone, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. Here is the review of this smartphone:

Display and Dimensions

The smartphone is designed by using a bar format. It comes with a 6-inch HD IPS, 16M colors display with OGS lamination and Oleophobic coating, which features a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and a density of 367ppi. Talking about its dimensions, it comes with a height of 158.5 mm, a width of 80.6 mm and a thickness of 8.5 mm. It weighs around 80.6 mm.

Processor and Operating System

The Alcatel One Touch Hero is powered by a quad-core processor running at 1.5 GHz, complemented by Mediatek MT6589 chipset, PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 2GB RAM. It runs on Android v4.2.2, Jelly Bean operating system

Camera and Storage

For photography, the smartphone features an excellent 13MP autofocus camera at the back with LED flash and packed with features like panorama, 3D photo, HDR and burst mode. The device also gets a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies or video calls.  The picture resolution offered by the back camera is 4128x3096 pixels whereas front flaunts a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. You can capture 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. It houses 16GB of internal memory, which can be increased by 32GB additionally with the use of memory card slot.

Connectivity and Battery

The Alcatel One Touch Hero Dual scores great in terms of connectivity as well. It features 3G, bluetooth v4.0, GPS, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, Wi-Fi Hotspot. It has been fueled by a non-removable 3400mAh Li-Ion battery that promises a talktime of 20 hours on 2G network, 18 hours on 3G network and and 24 hours of uninterrupted music playback.

Multimedia and Other Features

The dual SIM smartphone comes equipped with number of entertaining features such as 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, image viewer, music player, video player, video recording, voice recording and games. It also comes loaded with some other features like active noise cancellation, alarm clock, calendar, organiser, SNS integration, voice dialing and voice memo. Facebook, Twitter and Gmail are the pre-loaded apps offered by the Alcatel. For the purpose of messaging and mailing, it provides SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email and IM facility which serves as the great source of conversation instead of calling.
