The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C is a flagship device by Alcatel announced in September, 2015. The main highlight of this phone is its exciting replaceable covers which is available in total five colors. This new entrance to the idol series packs an upper-mid range spec list that includes large screen, Lollipop OS, 2 GB RAM, microSD card support and good camera. It comes in a sales package with handset, USB cable, warranty card, user manual, charger and battery. Let's take a closer look on its specification below:

Display and Design

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen at front which provides a 1920x1080 pixels resolution. The screen responds beautifully to the multi-touch gestures and it flaunts 16 million display colors along with 401ppi pixels density. It is perfect for the rich and clear visual experience. In the terns of design, it is attractive in looks and it doesn't support any physical keys on the bottom bezel except a button like iPhone. The height of the phone's body is measured as 152.7 mm, width as 75.1 mm and 7.9 mm depth. The device is slim and it provides ease of handling but one cannot access its screen single handedly.

Processor and OS

At the heart, it packs an octa-core (Quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 1.0GHz Cortex-A53) processor with Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset and Adreno 405 GPU. It is coupled with 2 GB RAM to ensure smooth functioning of the applications. The operating system version offered in this handset is a Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Camera and Memory

For the photography, it comes equipped with a wonderful 13 MP rear camera. It sports LED flash, digital zoom, face detection, geo-tagging features to double the fun. It provides a screen resolution of 4128x3096 pixels. While on the front frame, it has got a 8 MP camera for the stunning selfies. Both the cameras are capable of recording full HD videos. In the terms of storage, it comes loaded with 16 GB internal memory which can be further expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. Apart from that, it has unlimited phonebook capacity.

It offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, microUSB v2.0, GPS/A-GPS as its connectivity attributes. It operates on 2G (GSM), 3G (HSDPA) and 4G (LTE) network band frequencies. While, the phone includes games, music player, video player and FM Radio to keep you entertained in idle times. The social apps like Facebook and Twitter are also present on the phone. For the backup, it relies on non-removable Li-Ion 2910mAh battery which is rated to deliver 2G/3G talktime of up to 13 hours and standby time of over 600 hours.
