Alcatel Onetouch Idol Alpha is a latest smartphone released in April, 2014 by the Chinese company, Alcatel. It comes with an outstanding design and sleek body which make it stand with other high end smartphones available in the market. It hosts an edge to edge display that let you see objects more clear without any stress to eyes.

Display and Dimensions

The device features a 4.7-inch HD IPS screen along with a 720x1280 pixels display resolution that supports multi-touch gestures. It also features black crystal touch panel, Oleophobic coating and full lamination. To let you experience sharper visuals, it support 16M color depth. Some sensors like proximity and light also come included in the phone for the user comfort. Measurement of dimensions of the phone are 138x66.6x7.5 mm and it weighs at 117.4 grams.

Processor and OS

The Idol Alpha is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor and 1GB RAM which provide ample room to the data that need fast access. While, operating the device is an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system that provides improved platform to its user.

Camera and Memory

On the camera front, it comes equipped with a wonderful 13MP primary camera that let you capture high resolution pictures and you can also record as well as play full HD videos on it. It comes with some features like digital zoom, auto-focus, panorama, burst mode, touch focus and smile detection. On the other hand, it includes 1.3 MP front-facing camera for the selfies, video calling and recording of HD videos. To store the essential data, it supports an internal memory of 16GB and there is also a provision of expandable storage up to 13.3GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

Idol Alpha works on both 2G and 3G network frequencies and it features bluetooth, microUSB, GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi and GPRS as its connectivity attributes. The battery ticking inside the phone is a Li-Ion 2000mAh battery that promises a 2G and 3G talktime of up to 20 hours and 10 hours respectively. The 2G standby time supported by battery is up to 720 hours along with a 3G support of up to 360 hours.

Multimedia

The handset come loaded with games, FM Radio, music system, video player to keep you entertain and busy in the idle time. You can set alert type of the phone to vibrate or on ringtone mode. It also facilitates some features like Flip to mute, flight mode and games like Apshalt7, Wonder Zoo, World at arms and Kingdom and Lords are already loaded in the phone by the company.

Shades

The company has offered this phone in four attractive shades including Slate, Pink Gold/brushed, Soft Gold/Matte and Soft Gold/ Brushed. This colors are contributing a lot in enhancing the beauty of the phone. The phone looks fabulous in all the shades.
