Overview

Low-Cost Kitkat Based Smartphone With Reasonable Price Tag

Alcatel OneTouch Pixi First is a Kitkat based smartphone announced in August, 2015. It is a low-cost handset which comes in four pretty shades. Besides the reasonable price tag, it has 3G connectivity, 5 MP rear camera, dual SIM functionality, quad-core processor and 1450 mAh battery. The box contents include headset, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. We gave detailed review of this smartphone which you can see below.

Display and Dimensions

The soapy-shaped device holds a 4-inch display which goes into a 9.7 mm chassis that is amongst the slimmest 4-inch mobiles on the market. The screen resolution sounds rather disappointing with its 480x800 pixels, but, at 4" it is enough. In terms of dimensions, it comes with a height of 122 mm, a width of 64.40 mm and a thickness of 9.70 mm. It supports compass sensor and proximity sensor.

Processor and Operating System

It packs a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor which is paired with Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset and 512 MB RAM which acts as a tools for the good functioning of the device. It has the support of Android v4.4 KitKat OS which is the outdated version of operating system.

Camera and Storage

The rear camera is 5 MP, but still does 1080p video, and is paired with a 2 MP fixed-focus front shooter, which can record HD videos as well. Its primary camera releases a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels whereas secondary camera comes with a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The rear camera also support some features which include auto-focus, LED flash, digital zoom and geo-tagging. It has been loaded with 4 GB internal memory which you can further expand up to 32 GB through microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity attributes of the smartphone comprises Bluetooth, GPS, USB, 3G, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi. It is supplemented by a Lithium 1450 mAh battery which deliver 7 hours talktime as well as standby time of up to 300 hours.
