4G Based KitKat Based Smartphone With Poor RAM

Archos is a French multinational electronics company that was started in 1988 by Henri Crohas. The company manufactures variety of products which includes portable video players, netbooks, mobile phones etc. Archos entered in phones market by releasing a series of smartphones, Archos 53 Platinum, Archos 45 Titanium and Archos 50 Platinum. After introducing good number of phones, Archos launched 45b Helium, a 4G based smartphone on January, 2015. It is a dual SIM handset which comes loaded with box contents such as charger, headset, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. Let's have a quick glance at the features and specifications of handset.

Display and Dimensions

It is an Android based smartphone featuring a 4.5- inch IPS LCD display and 207 ppi pixel density. It shows off a color depth of 16 million. The large screen provides a resolution of 854x480 pixels. Having a bar shape, the multi- touch device has got a height of 135mm, a width of 67mm and a thickness of 9.7mm. It's weight is 140 grams. It supports ambient light sensor, G-sensor and proximity sensor.

Processor and Operating System

Under the hood, it has a 1.2 GHz Quad- Core Cortex A53 processor based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, Adreno 305 GPU and assisted by 512MB RAM. It runs on Android v4.4.4 KitKat operating system.

Camera and Storage

The primary camera of the smartphone shoots 5MP stills and supports digital zoom, LED flash, and auto focus. On the front, it houses 0.3MP shooter which is not good for selfie obsessed people. It is also not perfect for video calls. The device has an 4GB of onboard memory which can be expanded up to 64GB with the help of microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The Archos 45b Helium can be connected through options such as 3G, 4G, micro USB V2.0, Bluetooth, GPS, GPRS, EDGE, handsfree and Wi-Fi. It is fueled by Li-Poly 1850 mAh battery which delivers a normal talktime as well as standby time.
