Archos 50 Cesium is a Windows based smartphone which got announced in August, 2015. It is the first handset which run 'Windows 10' mobile straight out of the box. It is priced at INR 10,300 approximately (GBP 99). As expected of a smartphone in this price range, it holds modest specifications. It is likely to rival the likes of Microsoft Lumia 640 XL and Lumia 640. The box contents include headset, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. The detailed review of this smartphone is discussed below.

Display and Dimensions

It flaunts a 5 inch capacitive multi-touch display which provides rich and vivid colors with a HD resolution of 1280x720 pixels and 16 million color support. It carries a height of 147 mm, a width of 72.5 mm and a thickness of 8.5 mm.

Processor and Operating System

It has been powered by a 1.1 GHz Quad-Core processor which is being coupled with Snapdragon 210 chipset and Adreno 304 GPU. Further it is paired with 1 GB RAM in order to do multi-tasking. It works on Windows 10 operating system which is the major highlight of this device.

Camera and Storage

On the imaging side, it has an 8 MP rear camera on the back and a 2 MP on the front side. Its primary camera carries few features like auto-focus, face detection, geo-tagging, digital zoom, LED flash and smile detection which adds new effects and changes in your photography. The rear camera has got a photo resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. On the other hand, secondary camera comes with a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. It has got an internal memory of 8 GB which the user can expand up to 32 GB through microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

It is endowed with some connectivity features like GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi. It is a dual SIM smartphone which supports 3G and 4G networks. It is energized by a 2100 mAh battery which offers decent talktime as well as standby time.
