A Well Priced Tablet with Dual SIM Calling

For quite some time, Asus was famous for introducing voice-calling tablets in global market. It unveiled the Fonepad 7 in 2013 with single SIM slot. On April, 2014 the company has announced the same device dubbed as Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM. Asus is one of the first international brands to reveal a dual SIM tab and here we will discuss the features and specifications of the device in detail:

Display and Dimensions

The dual SIM version does not look different from the earlier version of the Asus Fonepad. It is made of plastic and follows a ordinary design philosophy as used in the previous one. The front of the tab features a 7-inch IPS display that poses a resolution of 1280x800 pixels with 16 million color support. The display is crafted of a wide, black bezel representing glossy finish. The device also features proximity sensor, accelerometer sensor and ambient light sensor. The dimensions of the tab are measured as 199.50x120.80x11.35mm and it weighs 340 grams.

Processor and OS

It runs Android v4.3 Jelly Bean operating sytsem equipped with a custom user interface working on top. It is powered by dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with 1GB RAM and Intel Atom Z2520 chipset.

Camera and Memory

It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2MP camera fixed at the front for video calling. There is no LED flash at the rear side so it difficult to click photographs in low-light conditions. It is offered with an internal memory of 8GB and the user can expand it up to 64GB by inserting microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The dual SIM phone comes packed with connectivity attributes including Wi-Fi, 3G network, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB. The tablet is energized by 3910 mAh battery that offers a decent talk-time of 10 hours as well as stand-by time of 320 hours. It can play videos continuously for 7 to 8 hrs.
