BlackBerry Q5 is a Qwerty-keypad, Micro-SIM Smartphone which was launched in June 2013. It has a height of 120mm, a width of 66mm and a thickness of 10.5mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 120gms and runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz), 3G(UMTS 800/850/900/1900/2100 MHz) and 4G LTE network frequencies. It has a Qwerty keypad and an all-touch screen with an intuitive gesture-based navigation. The physical BlackBerry keyboard has many features such as contextual auto-correction, next-word prediction, instant action typing shortcuts and a personalized learning engine that gets to know the way you type. It is available in four shades which includes Black, White, Red and Pink at a price of INR 23,000.

BlackBerry Q5 has a 3.1-inch, capacitive and multi-touch, TFT LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720x720 pixels, 16 Million colors display and 329ppi pixel density. It has got a 2GB RAM and an internal memory of 8GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD memory card. It has a non-removable Li-Ion 2180mAh battery with a 2G and 3G Stand-by time of up to 312 hours and up to 336 hours respectively, a 2G and 3G Talk time of up to 10 hours and up to 12.5 hours respectively, a music playback time of up to 62 hours and a video playback time of up to 9 hours. It is a BlackBerry 10 OS enabled smartphone which needs BlackBerry link software to be installed in computer to enable the synchronization of data and media. It has a Dual-core 1.2GHz processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Chipset and a lot of sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, proximity and magnetometer. It has got SMS, MMS, E-Mail, Push E-Mail, IM, BBM 6 and SNS integration for messaging.

BlackBerry Q5 has a 5.0MP rear camera with a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels, 5xDigital zoom, auto-focus, 4-Element F2.4 lens, image stabilization, touch focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, time shift mode(for pinpointing and adjusting individual elements of the picture) and can play as well as record videos of 1080p@30fps with 2 degrees of freedom video stabilization. It also has a 2.0MP front camera with a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels, fixed-focus, 3xDigital zoom, image stabilization, video calling and can play as well as record videos of 720p@30fps with video stabilization.

For data, it has GPRS, EDGE, WLAN feature with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA and Wi-Fi Hotspot, a v4.0 Bluetooth with A2DP, LE and aptX enabled, NFC and a v2.0 microUSB port. It also other features such as a HTML5 browser, TTY support, GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS, a MIDP 2.1 Java, an integrated speaker and microphone, an integrated hands-free speakerphone, on-screen or LED indicator, BlackBerry balance, image viewer/editor, an organizer, BlackBerry maps, a document viewer, voice memo/dials, predictive text input and many more.
