Celkon C99 was a dual SIM phone released in 2010 but now the device is permanently discontinued. It used to work on Mini-SIM and run on 2G network (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) frequencies. Celkon C99 was available in 2 color options: Black and Red. It come in a pack with handset, battery, charger, earphone and warranty card.

Display and Dimensions

It's dimensions were measured as 110x55x10mm and come with the weight of 86 grams. The light weight phone had a 2.8 inches TFT touchscreen with a display resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and the pixel density of 143 ppi.

Memory

The budget phone featured upto 8GB of external memory and also had the availability of memory card slot for the use of expandable storage.

Camera

The device posed a 2MP rear camera with 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution but had no front camera.

Connectivity and Battery

The Li-Ion 800 mAh battery promised 6 hours of talk-time as well as 200 hours of poor stand-by time. In terms of connectivity, C99 was provided with GPRS, Bluetooth for the sharing and transferring of data from one handset to another and USB which is used to send and receive items like songs, movies etc.

Entertainment

It was loaded with some multimedia features like FM Radio, loudspeaker, 3.5mm audio jack, music player and video player which is considered to be the good source of entertainment and enjoyment.

Telephony and Messaging

It had the capacity to store 1000 entries in it's phonebook. The users could only send SMS and MMS and were unable to share emails and push mail.

Other Features

Common features available in the device were calendar, alarm clock and organiser which every company gives in their handsets.

Verdict

Overall it was a cheap phone with poor battery back-up and small screen size.
