Gigabyte is a popular Taiwanese company of computer hardware and is mainly known for its motherboards. It started manufacturing smartphones to cover this sphere of market also. The Gigabyte GSmart Akta A4 is one of the KitKat based device of the company which is loaded with many more amazing features to woo the masses. It was announced and released in November, 2014.

Display and Design

At the front, this phone has a 5.0-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which provides a display resolution of 960x540 pixels. It support multitouch gesture of up to 2 fingers only. The 16M color depth and 220ppi pixel density provides clear visuals. The dimensions of this phone is measured as 147x73x9.6mm and it weights 158 grams.

Processor and OS

The operating system version offered in this phone is Android 4.4.2 KitKat which helps in providing smooth app performance. While processing the device is a 1.4GHz Quad-core Cortex-A7 processor, MediaTek MT 6592 chipset, Mali-450MP4 GPU and 1GB RAM.

Camera and Memory

For the photography, it comes equipped with an auto-focus 13MP camera at back with LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection. It clicks a pictures of 4128x3096 pixels resolution and is also capable of recording videos. On the other hand, it packs 5MP camera at front for the selfies. In the terms of storage, it supports 8GB internal memory which can be further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The phone offers Bluetooth, GPS, USB cable and Wi-Fi as its connectivity options. The messaging facilities of the phone includes SMS, MMS, Email and IM. It also has 3.5mm audio jack. It draws a back-up from Li-Ion 1800mAh battery which delivers a talktime of up to 6 hours and stand-by time of around 250 hours.
