Gionee is best known for its sleek mobiles. The Gionee Gpad G5 is a new phablet in the Gionee's Gpad series which was announced in August, 2014. It has a Dual SIM configuration which lets you differ your personal and professional life. It comes with a borderless symmetrical design which sits comfortably in one's hand. One can easily hit the entire screen and buttons without any issue. It comes in a pack with battery, charger, headset, USB cable, user manual, warranty card and handset.

Display and Design

Gionee Gpad G5 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen Dragontrail display which provides you rich visual experience and it has a display resolution of 1280x720 pixels. It flaunts 16 Million color depth. Measurement wise, it has a length of 157.3mm, width of 77.6, thickness of 7.9mm and it weighs at 145 grams.

Processor and OS

Inside the phone, residing a 1.5GHz Hexa-core Cortex A7, MediaTek MT6582 processor along with ARM Mali450 MP GPU and 1GB RAM. It controls all the operations together to avoid any delay in service. It is running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

Camera and Memory

For the photography, it has an auto-focus 8MP camera on the back panel with LED flash and digital zoom. The highest resolution one can set for the pictures is 3264x2448 pixels. For the front shots and video chat, it has 2MP camera at front which clicks pictures of 1600x1200 pixels resolution. For the storage purpose, it has an inbuilt memory of 8GB and an external memory provision through microSD card up to 32GB.

Connectivity and Battery

Gionee Gpad G5 draws a back from a Li-Ion 2400mAH battery which promises a 2G talktime of upto 15 hours and 3G talktime of up to 12 hours along with a standby time of 288 hours. It offers bluetooth, A-GPS, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, GPS and USB cable as its connectivity features. It works on 2G (GSM 1800/900 MHz) and 3G (HSDPA 2100 MHz) network frequencies.
