Gionee Marathon M3 is a dual smartphone which got announced in Nov, 2014. It is India's first android smartphone which comes loaded with 5000 mAh battery. It is a mid- range smartphone that has box contents like handset, headset, charger, battery, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. Here is a quick review on this smartphone:

Display and Dimensions

It is fitted with a 5 inch IPS OGS display that poses a HD screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels. While the phone's IPS technology allows decent viewing angles whereas OGS technology makes the handset thin as well as responsive. Its phone button and volume button are at the right side of the handset. The headphone jack is at the top of the smartphone. It supports sensors like proximity and compass sensor. It is a bar shaped handset which measures 144.5mmx71.45x10.4mm and carries a weight of 180.29 grams.

Processor and Operating System

It is possessed by 1.3 GHz, Quad- core Cortex A7 processor along with ARM Mali 450 MP GPU in order to run multi tasks easily. It is coupled with 1GB RAM. It is based on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

Connectivity and Battery

It comes packed with connectivity features such as 3G, bluetooth, GPS, A- GPS, NFC, USB, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and dual SIM functionality. Now coming to the battery – it is a massive one with a 5000 mAh capacity. As per the Gionee the talktime is about 32 hours on 3G and about 51 hour 2G network. The standby time offered by the smartphone is 768 hours.

Multimedia and Other Features

Entertainment wise, it has number of options like radio, video player, music player, 3.5mm jack/port, video recording, voice recording and games. The additional features offered by the company includes Gionee Xender, Face Unlock, Yahoo Cricket, Smart Gesture, Hotknot, Game Zone, OTA and OTG support.
