Gionee S5.1 Pro is a slim and light weight smartphone comes with Dual SIM configuration. It was announced in September, 2015. Its a perfect blend of features and style that anyone wants to own. The device is quite handful and it comes with a Lollipop OS, 2 GB RAM, large screen, wonderful camera and non-removable battery. The sales package contains headset, user guide, data cable, travel charger and earphones.

Display and Design

The smartphone comes equipped with a 5.0-inch AMOLED display at front. This capacitive touchscreen provides a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, display colors of 16 million and pixel density of 294ppi. It responds beautifully to the multi-touch gestures and hosts 'Corning Gorilla Glass 4' coating for protection. Measurement wise, it has a height of 145.1 mm, width of 70 mm, thickness of 6.4 mm and it weighs at 129 grams. The device is amazing in built and it fits very well into one's palm. But it requires special care while using because of smooth and sleek body.

Processor and OS

It comes powered with a 1.3GHz Octa-core Cortex A53 processor, MediaTek MT6753 chipset and Mali-720 MP3 GPU. It is paired to 2 GB RAM to accommodate fast and smooth functioning of applications without much power consumption. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.

Camera and Memory

For the photography, it brings 13 MP camera at the back panel with LED flash, auto-focus, digital zoom, face-detection and geo-tagging features to provide amazing fun while capturing pictures. The highest resolution one can set for the pictures is 4128x3096 pixels. It packs 8 MP camera on the front frame for the selfies of good quality. One can also capture full HD video with this camera. Storage wise, it has 16 GB internal memory which can be further expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity attributes of the phone are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and A-GPS. It works on 2G, 3G and 4G network frequencies. For the backup, it depends upon non-removable Li-Ion 2400 mAh battery.

The Gionee S5.1 comes in White shade with golden frame and it is priced at $300. The main rivals of this phone are Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML, OnePlus One and HTC Desire 820S.
