Mid Range Smartphone by HTC

HTC Desire 501 is one of the latest smartphone by HTC which was recently announced in November, 2013. The prices and availability of this phone is not yet revealed but it is expected to make its global entry soon. It has a Li-Po 2100mAh battery and runs on 2G(GSM 900/1800/1900MHz) and 3G(HSDPA 900/2100MHz) networks. It has a height of 128.5mm, a width of 66.7mm and a thickness of 9.8mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 130gms. It will be available in Black, Pink and White shades at a price of 9,900 NTD(in Taiwan) and US$ 330. It has got a 4.3-inch, capacitive and multi-touch, TFT touchscreen with a WVGA resolution of 480x800 pixels, 217ppi pixel density, 16 million colors display and HTC Sense 5.0 user interface along with HTC BlinkFeed.

HTC Desire 501 has a RAM of 1GB and an internal memory of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card. It is an Android v4.2.2, Jelly Bean OS based smartphone with a dual-core 1.15GHz processor and some sensors such as accelerometer, proximity, compass and ambient light. It has got a 8.0MP rear camera with a resolution of 3264x2448 pixels, digital zoom, F2.0 aperture, auto-focus, touch focus, LED flash, BSI sensor and geo-tagging and can play as well as record videos of 1080p@30fps. It has also got a 2.1MP front camera with 88-degrees wide angle and used for video calling and 720p video recording as well as playing.

For messaging, it includes SMS, MMS, E-mail, Push E-mail, IM and integrated social networking sites along with predictive text input. For connectivity, it has got a GPRS and EDGE, WLAN feature with IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi direct, DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot, an aptX enabled v4.0 Bluetooth with A2DP, NFC and a v2.0 micro USB port. It has got some other features such as a 3.5mm jack, a loudspeaker, a HTML5 browser, GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS, Java via MIDP emulator, active noise cancellation with a dedicated mic, an organizer, a document viewer, a photo viewer/editor, voice memo/dials/commands and many more.
