The HTC J Butterfly HTL23 is a big screen Android smartphone announced by HTC in July, 2014. It is the high-end smartphone by HTC with quad-core processor, KitKat OS and wonderful camera. It has shared some of its features with HTC One M8 and like Sony's smartphones, HTL23 also comes with water and dust resistance. It is expected to be launched in Indian market soon, but now it is available in Japan through KDDI network carrier.

Display and Dimensions

The J Butterfly HTL23 houses a 5.0-inch full HD super LCD 3 display at the front with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The screen size is ideal for games, web browsing, viewing pictures and for office applications. As far as the dimensions are concerned, the handset has a 10mm thickness and it weighs 156 grams which is quite high than other phones in this segment. As of today, most of the phones in this segment comes with slim body type and are lightweight.

Processor and OS

The phone features a powerful 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB RAM. Together they provides a smooth app performance and do multiple things easily. The operating system version offered in this phone is Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense UI.

Camera and Storage

For the storage purpose, the device is geared up with 32GB internal memory and expandable storage of up to 128GB via microSD card, which is quite impressing. You can store unlimited songs and pictures on the phone without deleting old ones. For photography, it has a dual camera support on the back panel. One is 13MP camera with dual LED flash and a 2MP camera to capture depth information. It also has a 5MP front-facing shooter for the quality selfies and video calling.

Connectivity and Battery

It works on 2G, 3G and 4G network frequencies. For fast internet experience, there are Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS along with a bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB port as its connectivity features. Under the hood, it packs a 2700mAH battery which provides a day long backup to the phone.
