Huawei Ascend G730 is a wide screen smartphone with dual SIM compatibility released in April 2014. It has its resemblance to Samsung phones that have three soft keys at the bottom of the screen. It has decent features but the battery backup is very low.

Processor and OS

G730 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor along with a 1GB RAM to ensure fast functioning and unrivaled service. RAM is quite less as compared to other phones in this class. Operating the device is an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean that lets you download applications very easily.

Display and Dimensions

The smartphone packs a 5.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen that provides you a crystal clear visuals. The display resolution provided by the screen is 540x960 pixels. It flaunts 16M colors depth and 200ppi pixel density that lets you experience true life clarity. With the overall dimensions of 151.5mm height, 78.3mm width, 9.6mm thickness and 180 gram weight, the phone is bit heavy and bulky. There are also a couple of sensors available on the phone for user comfort like accelerometer and proximity.

Camera and Storage

It comes equipped with an auto-focus 5MP rear camera with LED flash and Geo-tagging to capture the special moments and save them on the phone. You can set the maximum picture resolution to 2592x1944 pixels. It is also capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps. For the front shots and video calling, it has a VGA front-facing camera. To store all the data efficiently, this phone possesses a 4GB internal memory and its memory can be expanded upto 32GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

To share data with other devices or PC, this phone offers a Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack and USB port. While for the data connections, it has GPRS, EDGE and Wi-Fi. To use the navigation services, it has GPS with A-GPS support. For the smooth functioning, this phone comes loaded with Li-ion 2300 mAh battery that promises a talk time of up to 3 hours and stand-by time of up to 200 hours, which is definitely a drawback of the phone.

Multimedia

The phone packs an FM Radio and audio player for the music buff. The audio format supported by the phone are MP3, FLAC player, WAV, eAAC+. To be in touch with your friends, it provides you services like SMS, MMS, IM etc. with predictive text input and you can also send Emails. It supports vibration and MP3 ringtones as its alert types. Some other features phone include are documented viewer, photo viewer, voice memo/dial, organizer and SNS integration.
