KitKat Based Dual SIM Smartphone By Huawei

Huawei Ascend Y221 is an ascend series Android smartphone released by the company in December, 2014. It is available in single SIM and Dual SIM version so that one can choose their handset according to the need. It hosts a normal screen, KitKat OS, dual- core processor, 4GB internal memory, normal 2MP camera and Li-Ion 1350mAh battery. It comes in a pack with handset, battery, charger, USB cable and quick start guide.

Display and Design

The phone features a 3.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen at front panel which supports multitouch gestures for gaming and messaging as well. It provides a 320x480 pixels resolution, 256k colors depth and 165ppi pixel density. The handset has a height of 116.5mm, width of 60.6mm, thickness of 12.3mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 130 grams.

Processor and OS

It is powered by 1GHz Dual- core Cortex- A7 MediaTek MT6572M processor along with Mali- 400 GPU and 512MB RAM for providing smooth app performance with less power consumption. While it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS which provides improved design and new apps.

Camera and Memory

For the photography it packs only 2MP camera at the back panel which also offers digital zoom feature. The highest resolution one can set for the picture is 1600x1200 pixels. To store your important stuff, it comes loaded with 4GB internal memory and external memory of up to 32GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The phone offers GPRS, EDGE, USB cable, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as its connectivity options. It draws power from Li-Ion 1350 mAh battery which promises maximum talktime of up to 4 hours and standby time of up to 225 hours.
