Intex Aqua Kat is an entry level smartphone in the Aqua series which got announced in December, 2014. It is a low cost device but has premium build quality and good specifications. It is one of the cheapest Android KitKat based dual SIM smartphone available in the market. The box contents include charger, handset, USB cable, headset, battery, user manual and warranty card. Display and Dimensions

The smartphone features a 4-inch WVGA capacitive display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and has 16 million color support. The multi- touch device has got a height of 123.5mm, a width of 63.2mm and a thickness of 10.5mm and weighs at 105.4 grams. It is a bar shaped smartphone which features accelerometer sensor.

Processor and Operating System

A dual core MediaTek MT6572 processor clocked at 1GHz along with 256MB of RAM powers the device. It runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS out of the box.

Camera and Storage

In the imaging department, there is a 2MP shooter in the rear supported by LED flash and a 0.3MP snapper in the front in order to click selfies or to make video calls. The LED flash helps to capture the pictures in low light conditions. The primary camera delivers a picture resolution of 1600x1200 pixels whereas secondary camera comes packed with a resolution of 640x480 pixels. In addition, the phone has 512MB internal storage capacity which can be further expanded up to 32GB through memory card slot present on the handset.

Connectivity and Battery

The smartphone has all connectivity attributes including 3G which is a great value at this price point. The device also has A- GPS, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, USB, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi. A 1300 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 4 hours of talktime and 180 hours of standby time, powers the handset.

Entertainment and Messaging

For messaging, it comes loaded with services like SMS, MMS and Email in order to exchange mails and messages with friends and colleagues. For the purpose of entertainment, it has features like 3.5mm jack/port, radio, music player, video player, video recording and games.
