Karbonn Telecommunications is a firm in India which was founded in March, 2009. It is a joint venture mobile manufacturing company between Bangalore-based UTL Group and Delhi-based Jaina Group. Design and Display

Karbonn A20 flaunts a luscious black painted body that grabs the attention of masses almost everyone. The device gives you a classy feel as far as looks are concerned. This bar shaped device comes with a nice wide IPS LCD touchscreen of 5.0-inches which provides a resolution of 854x480 pixels and a 196ppi pixel density. The front panel features only three feather touch soft keys for options, home and back which are well responsive to the input signals. It also has accelerometer and proximity sensors.

Housing the Karbonn A20 is a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and a RAM of 512 MB. The smartphone comes with an internal memory of 4 GB which can be further increased up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Karbonn A20 operates on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

The A20 is a dual SIM device which supports GSM 900/1800 MHz and UMTS 2100 MHz frequencies. It has the capacity to store an unlimited number of contacts to the phonebook. SMS, MMS, email and IM are some of the messaging and emailing facilities available for the phone.

Camera

The smartphone has a brilliant 8 MP rear camera which is featured with an auto-focus, LED flash, digital zoom and provides a resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. It delivers good quality pictures in day as well as night light. The secondary camera of 0.3 MP is also there for video calling.

Multimedia

The device has a music player, FM radio, video player and recorder for the entertainment of the users. It comes pre-loaded with apps like Google search, Gmail, picasa, maps, Twitter, Facebook, You-Tube, android market, Yahoo Mail and a document viewer.

The connectivity options available for A20 are GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 82.11 b/g/n, 3G, Bluetooth v4.0, micro USB v2.0, GPS and hands-free connectivity. The device is energized by a Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery to ensure better usage time.
