Karbonn A50S is an android smartphone launched by Karbonn in June, 2014. It offers multi touch display, dual camera and sufficient memory to its users. The main rivals of this phone are Micromax Bolt A27 and Lenovo A269i.

Display and Dimensions

The device is a regular bar shaped touch smartphone with simplistic looks. It packs a 3.5-inch TFT LCD screen along with a display resolution of 480x320 pixels. Below the screen there are 3 soft keys for home, back and calling options. The phone has a length of 115.7mm, width of 61.8mm and thickness of 10.5mm as its dimensions.

Processor and OS

A50S has a 1.2GHz dual core MediaTek processor coupled with 256MB RAM that ensures the required speed to the phone to work without any delay. Running the device is an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

Camera and Memory

Camera feature of the phone is not very impressing but it can be used only in necessity. On the back panel, there is a 2MP camera with LED flash and digital zoom. Maximum resolution you can set for the pictures is 1600x1200 pixels. While at the front, it also brings a 0.3MP camera for selfies which provides 640x480 pixels picture resolution. The camera is also capable of recording video of normal quality. For the storage, the device offers a 512MB of internal memory which is not sufficient for large amount of data. But you can get an additional storage with the help of microSD card which can save a data of up to 32GB.

Connectivity and Battery

To connect with the other users, it has a USB port and Bluetooth. Well, you can watch videos, play games and listen songs online through the Wi-Fi connectivity. It also offers GPRS and EDGE for the user connectivity . It operates on dual band GSM 900/1800 MHz network frequency. The phone draws a good back-up from Li-ion 1100 mAh battery.

Multimedia

A50S has a messaging facilities like SMS, MMS and Email to let the users stay connected with their friends and families. For the entertainment purpose, it has FM Radio and music player. Some other features included in the phone are calendar, mute mode, alarm and calculator.

Shades and Price

Karbonn A50S brings two color options for its users including Black and White. You can buy this handset for only Rs. 2,790 which is very reasonable and worth according to the features.
