Karbonn is a telecommunication firm in India which was founded in March, 2009. It is headquartered in Bangalore and Noida, India. The company has announced the K58, a basic feature phone in July, 2014. It comes in a pack with a charger, battery, earphone, USB cable, user manual and a warranty card. Let's take a look at the specifications.

Design and Display

The Karbonn K58 is a simple phone with easy to use controls. It is designed by using a bar format with gently curved edges. The phone features a 2.4-inches TFT display with a 240x320 pixels resolution and 167 ppi pixel density. The alphanumeric keypad is well placed below the screen which is quite smooth in function.

Memory

Memory expansion is possible in the phone with the help of a micro SD card up to 8 GB. The user can store a list of 300 contacts to the K58's phonebook. The maximum limit for SMS storage is just 100.

Telephony and Messaging

This dual SIM device with dual standby operates on GSM 900/1800 MHz frequencies. The phone is featured with SMS for messaging. It also has T9 dictionary support which makes typing easier and faster.

Camera

The Karbonn K58 has a primary camera of 1.3 MP which is featured with a digital zoom and provides a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels. Unfortunately, the phone does not has a primary camera for video calling purposes.

Multimedia

The phone has a music player and FM radio for listening pleasure and entertainment of users. The inbuilt video player allows you to watch your favorite videos anytime. It comes pre-loaded with some of the games to play with.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity attributes of the Karbonn K58 includes GPRS, Bluetooth and hands-free connectivity. The phone comes packed with a Li-ion 1500 mAh battery to ensure a better usage time.
