Karbonn Mobiles is an India based telecommunication firm which is a joint venture between the Jaina Group and UTL Group. It was founded in 2009 and is one of the leading mobile brands in India. The company has added one more phone to its KitKat based budget smartphones which is Karbonn Titanium S99. Its box packs a handset, charger, US cable, battery, earphone, user manual and a warranty card.

Design and Display

Titanium S99 looks decent in its simple bar format. The three touch buttons beneath the screen and the camera affixed at the rear panel, highlights this phone. It has got a nice wide 4 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480x800 pixels.

Hardware and Software

The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor bundled with 512 MB RAM, ensures snappy performance. It has been packed with the goodness of latest version of Android OS which is Android 4.4 KitKat. 4 GB of on-board storage has been availed to store files and applications data. Also, it supports an expandable memory card up to 32 GB.

Telephony and Messaging

The smartphone operates on 2G and 3G networks. It is a Dual SIM handset and has the ability to run both the connections at the same time. The messaging facilities available for the device includes SMS, MMS along with email.

For photography, the device has a 5 MP rear shooter with features like digital zoom, auto-focus, LED flash, geo-tagging etc. It takes pictures at a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. The company has also affixed a 0.3 MP front camera for selfies.
