Lava Iris 460 is an Android based smartphone with dual SIM capabilities announced in July, 2014. It comes in a pack with a charger, battery, headset, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. The phone is available in two shades which are Black and Grey. The details of phone are discussed below.

Design and Display

The Iris 460 has an extremely stylish and edgy design that makes it stand out from the crowd. It has got a height of 130mm, width of 65mm and thickness of 8.75mm as its dimensions. The overall look of phone is impressive with a nice wide IPS capacitive touchscreen of 4.5-inches which offers a resolution of 480x854 pixels. It is designed by using the one glass solution technology.

Hardware and Software

The smartphone is powered by a dual-core processor which has a clock speed of 1.3 GHz. It has a massive RAM of 1 GB and an internal storage of 8 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB with the use of a micro SD card. It runs on the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

This dual SIM device operates at network frequencies of GSM 900/1800 MHz and HSDPA 900/2100 MHz. The user can store an unlimited number of contacts to its phonebook memory. The Lava Iris 406 is featured with a SMS, MMS and email services for messaging.

Camera

The 5 MP primary camera of phone comes with a number of features that comprises of digital zoom, auto-focus, face detection, Geo-tagging and high dynamic range. There is a LED flash for low light imaging. The 0.3 MP secondary camera of Iris 406 allows the users to make a video call.

Connectivity and Battery

There are stacks of connectivity options as well, the device supports 3G, Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS, micro USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot and GPS with A-GPS support. The Lava Iris 406 is fueled by a 1650 mAh battery which offers a talk-time up to 6 hours and standby time up to 250 hours on 2G network while a talk-time up to 3 hours on 3G network. Overall, it serves as a good package from Lava.
