Lava Iris Selfie 50 is a selfie-focused smartphone launched in November, 2014. Released in September, 2014, Lava Iris X5 also falls under the same category. The box contents includes a charger, handset, battery, warranty card, USB cable and user manual. The features and specifications of the phone are discussed below:

Design and Display

The handset comes with a full laminated LCD screen that exhibits a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The bar shaped device has got a height of 44.5mm, a width of 71.2mm and a thickness of 9.2mm. It has a color depth of 16 M and offers a pixel density of 196ppi. It also features a accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensor.

Processor and Operating System

The dual SIM smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz, Quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM in order to store files, documents, songs and videos. It runs on Android v4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system.

Camera and Memory

It is equipped with 8 GB of internal memory that is expandable up to 32 GB through a memory card slot. It flaunts a 5 MP auto-focus front camera with LED flash that brings a picture resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. The 8MP rear camera with digital zoom and LED flash offers a picture resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. The user can capture 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.

Connectivity and Battery

On the connectivity side, it supports 3G, A-GPS, GPS, bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS and USB connectivity. Talking about its battery, it is fueled by a Li-Po 2400 mAh battery which offers a talktime of 12 hours and standby time of 240 hours on 2G network as well as 10 hours talktime and 200 hours standby time on 3G network.

Multimedia

For the entertainment purpose, it comes loaded with certain attributes such as 3.5mm audio jack, video player, FM radio, music player, voice recording, video player, video recording and games. The user can also do chat through social networking sites i.e. 'Facebook' and 'Twitter'.
