Maximus MAX 980 is a smartphone announced in December, 2013. It works on micro SIM and has dual SIM compatibility with dual SIM support. The phone is available in two shades at a reasonable price.

Display and Dimensions

It comes with a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that flaunts a resolution of 1280x720 pixels with 16 million color support. As the screen is large, it is comfortable to browse different sites which the user suffers in small display. The handset also features accelerometer, proximity and gyro sensors. It's dimensions are measured as 133x66x8.8 mm.

Camera

There is an 8MP rear camera at the back capable of clicking images of high quality. The back camera is packed with features like geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection. The front has 1.3MP front camera to make video calls through social networking sites like Skype, Yahoo Messenger and G-talk.

Processor and OS

It runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system and possess MTK6589M chipset and 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 quad core processor along with 1GB RAM.

Memory

The device comes loaded with an internal storage of 4GB that can be extended up to 32GB by using memory card slot. It has sufficient memory to store messages, contacts and other important data.

As far as the connectivity goes, the phone is equipped with attributes like Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS, GPS with A-GPS support, microUSB v2.0 , 3.5mm audio jack and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. It comes pre-loaded with HTML5 browser where you can browse different informational sites and can get important information and knowledge on different topics. The phone supports both 2G and 3G network. It houses a 1750 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides talk time of 5 hours and up to 174 hours of stand-by time.

Maximus MAX 980 has an entertainment features including FM radio, video player, music player, video recording, loud speaker and games. It has a facility of SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email and IM to send and receive messages and mails instead of calling.
