Maxx has announced a new phone the Maxx Metallic MX557i in June, 2014. The box contents includes a handset, charger, headset, battery, user manual, USB cable and a warranty card. The phone is discussed in detail below.

Design and Display

Maxx Metallic MX557i is a bar shaped device which is easy to use and handle. It has a height of 120.9mm, width of 77.5mm and a thickness of 10.96mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 51.91gms. The phone has a TFT screen of 2.4-inches which provides a resolution of 240x320 pixels and a 167ppi pixel density. It also features an alphanumeric keypad which is present below the display. The physical keys are well placed on board which are quite responsive to the inputs.

Memory

There is a memory card slot available for the Maxx Metallic MX557i which can accommodate up to 8 GB micro SD card. The user can store a list of 300 contacts to the phonebook memory along with 100 SMS.

Telephony and Messaging

The device operates on 2G (GSM 900/1800 MHz) network frequencies. The call quality offered is good at all the times. For messaging, the phone is featured with SMS along with T9 dictionary which facilitates typing.

Camera

The Maxx Metallic MX557i has a primary camera of 0.3 MP which allows you to capture 640x480 resolution pictures along with a digital zoom facility. Unfortunately, the phone does not have any front-facing camera for video chatting purposes.

Multimedia

The Maxx Metallic MX557i is also featured with a music and video player for the listening pleasure and entertainment. The FM radio is also there which gives you uninterrupted and better signals.

Connectivity and Battery
