By Priyanka SainiMicromax Canvas Tab P480 is a dual SIM calling tablet announced by Micromax in April, 2015. Its a budget tablet of Canvas series comes with entry level features. Though high-end devices grab all the lime light but there is a large number of consumers who prefers dual SIM device packed with interesting specs and does not cost high. The Canvas Tab P480 is perfect in the terms of style, performance and features. Let's take a brief look of specs below :
Display and Design
Its front boasts a 7-inch WVGA IPS touchscreen along with 1024x600 pixels resolution and 16 M color depth. It offers a bright and sharp display. It is also built with ambient light sensor, proximity and gravity sensor. The tablet requires careful handling and it gives gentle feel to the user. The screen is ideal for playing games, watching videos, pictures and text files etc.
Processor and OS
The device comes powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM. Together, it provides smooth app functioning. Running the device is an Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system which is also upgradable to Lollipop 5.0 OS.
Camera and Memory
For the camera lovers, it comes equipped with a 5 MP camera on the back panel which offers auto-focus and LED flash feature. It is capable of recording videos of 720p @ 30 fps. For the selfies of acceptable quality, it packs 2 MP fixed-focus camera at front. Storage wise, it has an internal memory of 8 GB which can be expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.
Connectivity and Battery
The tablet works on 2G and 3G network frequencies. It offers Wi-Fi connectivity to provide faster downloading and browsing speed. It also has Bluetooth 4.0 to assist in wireless data sharing and microUSB for PC connections. For the backup, it comes loaded with a 3000mAh battery that promises 2G talktime of up to 9 hours and standby time of around 168.5 hours.
