As we all know Micromax has become one of the leading brands in India. Other than designing and manufacturing basic mobile phones and smartphones, it also produces tablets. The all new Micromax Canvas Tablet P690 hits the market with amazing features. It comes in a pack with a tablet, headset, battery, charger, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. Lets take a look at the specifications of this smart tablet.

Design and Display

It flashes a display of 8 inches IPS capacitive touchscreen that has a resolution of 800x1200 pixels. It also shows off a color depth of 16 millions. It basically supports dual SIM slot. In terms of appearance, the tablet features a brushed aluminium finish that attracts the users. The dimension figures include a height of 209.8 mm, width of 120 mm and a thickness of 7.8 mm. The overall weight comes to 318 grams.

Processor and OS

The tablet comes equipped with 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor and Intel Atom Chipset along with 1 GB of RAM. It provides excellent services to the users without any failure. Coming onto the operating system, it runs on Android v 4.4 KitKat that is upgradable to Lollipop operating system.

Camera and Memory

For images and videos, it has a rear camera of 5 mega-pixels with digital zoom, auto-focus, LED flash and a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. On the other hand it also has a front-facing camera of 2 mega-pixels with a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. Coming onto the storage capacity, it has an internal memory of 8 GB that can be expanded upto 32 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

On the connectivity front, it supports GPRS, EDGE, WAP, Wi-Fi, USB connectivity and bluetooth for wireless data sharing. For navigation it has A-GPS and GPS. For entertainment, it has clock, calender, music player, video player, radio and much more to enjoy. It also has a strong battery backup of Li-ion 4000 mAh that gives out a talktime of 13.5 hours and a standby time of 180 hours.
