Micromax is an Indian company that was formed in the year 2000 and is headquartered in Gurgaon. It deals with the manufacturing of mobile phones, tablets, 3G datacards and LED televisions. It started the business of manufacturing mobile phones in the year 2010 and now has become the second largest smartphone company in India. Its Micromax Funbook Duo P310 is one of the creation under tablets segment that has some interesting set of features. Its pack includes a handset, USB cable, charger, battery, handsfree, user guide and a warranty card.

Design and Display

The dimension figures of Duo P310 includes a height of 188 mm, a width of 108 mm and a thickness of 98 mm along with a weight of 300 grams. It has been designed in a typical tablet format having a 7 inches TFT multi-touch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 600x1024 pixels.

Hardware and Software

Powering the device is the Dual Core MediaTek MT8317 processor clocked at 1 GHz, fitted with 512 MB of RAM which works fine with not too many lags. The internal memory stands at 4GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card. On the software part, it has the Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean Operating System which compliments the processor. Gesture sensor further enhance the operations.

Telephony and Messaging

This is the first Dual SIM tablet by Micromax that operates on 2G ( GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz ) network frequency. You can have a great time while texting with its intuitive text input and spell check features. Along with that it has the voice calling feature that keeps you connected with friends and family.

Camera

It comes equipped with a 2 MP rear shooter for taking decent pictures in day light conditions. There is a 0.3 MP front facing camera which is adequate for making video calls.

Entertainment

Considering entertainment, it comes loaded with a music player, image viewer, video player and video recorder. User can play the embedded games or can download from M!Live app. User can tune to FM radio as well. Plus availability of 3.5 mm audio jack lets you use any earphones with the tablet.

Connectivity and Battery

User can connect to the internet using 2G network or the Wi-Fi connectivity. Other than that, user can use the Bluetooth 4.0 feature to transfer files wirelessly with the compatible devices or can use the USB support for PC synchronization and transferring data from PC to phone or vice-versa. It is also loaded with the GPS support that keeps the track of your whereabouts. The device comes fueled with a Li-ion battery of 2800 mAh that claims a standby time of up to 120 hours and talktime of up to 6 hours.

Pre loaded applications

Coming on to apps department, the tablet is armed with M!Games- to keep you entertained with the games, the Opera Mini that lets you browse through the web, the M!Live which allows you to download videos, music, news etc and the Getit! app - which acts as the local search engine.
