Micromax Q50 Ezpad is a very simple phone with aesthetic looks.

Micromax Q50 Ezpad Design and Build Quality

The phone is bar shaped and comes in two colours black and white. The dimensions of the phone are 114x10x60mm and the phone weighs 96 grams. The build of the phone is very smooth and the thinness of the phones makes it very easy to hold in the hand and does not bulge in the pocket. The battery of the phone has a talk time of only 3 hours which is very less as the phone does not have many features which are going to eat the battery.

User Interface and Comfort to Use Micromax Q50 Ezpad

The phone as a QWERTY keypad and the screen is 2.2-inch TFT screen with 320x240 resolution. The screen clarity is quite good. The keypad is not so easy to use but you can’t expect much from a QWERTY keypad on a small phone. The phone has a call receive, call end, home and dedicated message buttons on the top of the keypad. The navigation is easy and very simple to understand. The phone is a Dual SIM phone but the switching from one to another is not such a pleasurable task. The phone has the capacity of Trans flash Card, Up to 16 GB, which increases the capacity.

Telephony and Phonebook

The phone only supports GSM+GSM operation. The Dual SIM feature of the phone makes it very easy to carry both the numbers in same phone. The call quality of the phone is very average even in the closed room. The speakerphone quality is average. If you are in a crowded place then you will have to strain your ears to listen to what the other party is saying.

Messaging and Emails

The phone has SMS, MMS and email capacity on the phone. There is no direct integration of social networking sites.

Gallery, Photo Viewer and Video Player

As we said before the phone does not have many features and therefore don’t except many sophisticated things from the phone. The video player of the phone supports MP4 and 3GP formats but then again the small screen is not conductive for video playing.

Micromax Q50 Ezpad Music Player and FM Radio

Music player on the phone is good. The FM radio of the phone is very decent but you need good signal reception to listen to it comfortably. The music player supports MP3, AMR, MIDI, and WAV. The loudspeaker volume is good and you can use it as a player for small parties.

Micromax Q50 Ezpad Camera and Image Quality

The camera is 2MP with not flash or autofocus. Don’t try to take pictures in zoom on this camera. The image quality is average.

Video Camera and Video Quality

Video quality of the phone is very poor.

Micromax Q50 Ezpad Connectivity Options

The phone has Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, and USB as connectivity options. No Wi-Fi or 3G options are available.

Organiser and other utility tools

Alarm, Clock, Calendar, organizer, and calculator are the tools available on the phone.

Web Browser and Applications

The phone comes preloaded with opera mini browser. The explorer does not have any features and it is just a basic browser. Facebook, Multi Instant Messenger, Social Networking Services are the apps on the phone.

Value for Money

The phone is priced at around INR 2000 (approx., may vary) in the Indian market.
