Overview
One of the best entry-level phones by Micromax
Overview of Micromax X101
Sticking with a more traditional phone layout, this Micromax X101 is a standard phone with certain features found on a Smartphone. The design is light and easy to hold, though the height of the phone makes it stick out of some pant pockets.
A Simple Screen
The Micromax X101 has a 1.77 inch screen, large enough to be able to perform the necessary operations, though small enough that you can’t view a lot of information on a single screen. The display is presented in 128 x 160 pixels on a TFT screen with 65k colors.
Stay Connected
This Smart enabled Phone can share content via Bluetooth, allowing easy transfer between Bluetooth enabled phones. You can perform simple internet tasks thanks to the WAP 2.0 wireless connectivity. This connectivity makes it easy to stay connected, letting you check email and send messages.
Micromax X101 Music Player
The Micromax X101 can also perform as a portable music player. It supports a variety of formats, including AVI for video and MP3 and WAV for music. There is a built in FM radio and the phone lets you record directly from the FM broadcast. The included music player is easy to navigate and can even play videos. One drawback is that there is not a standard 3.5 millimetre phone jack on the phone, instead you need to use the loud speaker built into the phone.
Snap Pictures Anywhere
The included CMOS camera lets you quickly snap pictures anywhere you go, even record short snippets of video. The size of the camera images is relatively small, only capable of taking pictures at 640 x 480 pixels.
Talk for Hours
One thing that they did do right when making this phone is the battery. The battery has a life of 4 hours when talking, thanks to a Lithium-Ion 1000 mAh battery and can last 200 hours in standby. This large battery can keep your phone alive for a long period of time.
Additional Features of Micromax X101
The internal memory of the Micromax X101 is enough to store some songs, messages, and contact information; though, not much else can fit on the internal memory. Thankfully, there is a micro SD slot on the phone that can support micro SD cards up to 4 GB in size. The Micromax X101 has a few other features that help make it a viable alternative to other similarly priced phones. The phone itself contains a flashlight, as compared to some phones using an app to create a flashlight out of the screen.
Overall, this phone is a great alternative to a standard phone. The connectivity allows you to stay connected with email and messaging, the music player capabilities are on par with other Smart enabled phones, and the phone is comfortable to use. Though, there are some drawbacks. The internet based applications are sluggish and can be difficult to use, there is not a lot of internal storage space, and there is no standard headphone jack. For those looking for a lot of features, keep looking; however, if you are looking for a standard phone that can check your email, the Micromax X101 is suitable.

Why the hell they call it dual sim phone! It should be called dual sim slot phone. While you are talking on sim1, someone giving you call on sim2 would find it to be out of range. What is the fun of developing such a phone? Complete waste of money for I purchased a phone to use both my sims.
