Design

Micromax is a famous mobile manufacturing company which has announced a new feature phone called the X245 in July, 2014. It comes in a pack with a charger, battery, hands-free, USB cable, user guide and a warranty card. The phone is discussed in detail below.

Design and Display

Micromax X245 is a bar shaped device which is easy to use and handle. It has got a height of 120mm, width of 49mm and thickness of 12.7mm as its dimensions. The handset features a QVGA display of 2.4-inches which provides a resolution of 320x240 pixels and an alphanumeric keypad present below it.

Hardware and Software

Micromax X245 has an internal memory of 65 KB which can be expanded up to 8 GB with the help of a micro SD card. It has the ability to store a list of 500 contacts along with 50 SMS. Unfortunately, the device is not powered by a processor instead it runs on the Proprietary operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

This dual SIM phone with dual standby operates on 2G (GSM 900/1800 MHz) network frequencies. For messaging, the phone is featured with SMS facility. The call quality delivered is good at most of the times.

Camera

The X245 has a primary camera of 0.3 MP which is featured with a digital zoom and provides a photo resolution of 640x480 pixels. There is no secondary camera is available for video calling purpose.

Multimedia

The phone is featured with a music player for the entertainment of the users. The FM radio is also there which gives uninterrupted and better signals. The user can watch favorite movies and videos with the help of an inbuilt video player.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity options includes Bluetooth v3.0, 5-Pin USB port and hands-free connectivity. It is fueled by a removable Li-Ion 900 mAh battery which delivers a talk-time up to 3 hours and standby time up to 250 hours.
