Micromax is an Indian mobile manufacturing company that has released the X249, a basic feature phone with dual SIM configuration in July, 2014. It comes in a pack with a charger, battery, headset, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. Let's check out its details.

Design and Display

The Micromax X249 is a simple phone with easy to use controls. It has got a height of 119mm, width of 49.5mm and thickness of 12.3mm as its dimension figures. The phone has a screen size of 2.4-inches which provides a resolution of 240x320 pixels. The TFT display has the ability to display 65 K colors.

Hardware and Software

The Micromax X249 has the capacity to store a list of 300 contacts to its phonebook memory. The user can also store a counted number of SMS's to the phone that is just 100. Memory expansion is also possible in the phone up to 8 GB with the help of a micro SD card. It is based on Proprietary operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

This dual SIM device operates at GSM 900/1800 MHz network frequencies. The messaging facility comprises of SMS and MMS to share photos, videos and music stuffs. The call quality offered is good at most of the times.

Camera

The Micromax X249 has a primary camera of 0.3 MP which is featured with a digital zoom. It has the ability to take 640x480 resolution pictures. Unfortunately, there is no secondary camera available in this phone.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity attributes of the device includes micro USB, hands-free, GPRS and Bluetooth. The device is energized by a Li-ion 1000 mAh battery which delivers a talk-time up to 3.45 hours and standby time up to 155 hours.
