Sony Ericsson S500i

sony ericsson s500

The S500 offers more than stunning aesthetics. Add colour to your free time with a media player and expandable Memory Stick slot. So you choose what size of music library is right for you. You can even add a music accessory such as the Music Bluetooth, Receiver MBR-100 and play your phone music direct through your home stereo. Play 3D games or access the Web browser for easy surfing on the move.

The display and the navigation buttons are on the front side of the top slider. The display is QVGA with 262k colors and size of 2.1 inches. It is bright and contrasting unit but as it was with the W910, the colors could be more and the transition from one hue to another is not very smooth. Below are the navigation keys, including two software buttons, back (arrow) and clear keys, internet button and shortcut.

Typical for Sony Ericsson, they are small but with good relief and enough space between each other. In the middle is the circular 5-way d-pad which is illuminated in signal green-yellow.When closed, the phone has glossy black finish applied to the front, the back is math black and the sides are in contrasting white. When opened, you see that the front of the bottom slider (where the keyboard is) and the back of the top slider (where is the camera) are in green metallic color.

The quad-band GSM/EDGE S500 offers a sharp 262k color, QVGA resolution display to view photos shot with its built-in 2 megapixel camera. Photos, music, and video clips can be stored in the internal 12MB of memory, or on a Memory Stick Micro card - not included.

The S500 does ship with wired stereo headphones and the Disc2Phone software, and is compatible with Bluetooth A2DP wireless headphones as well. The S500 is available in two color versions: stylish gold and black-green.
