Fly B700 Duo
Dual SIM phones have been arriving thick and fast in the Indian market in recent times. The Fly B700 is one of the latest entrants in the segment, and it supports two GSM connections. One of them is labelled as 'master,' while the other is tagged 'slave.'
The SIM card inserted in the master slot will be given preference over the slave, which will be the secondary connection. Incidentally, the device will work with even one SIM card, provided it is inserted in the 'master' slot. Although this might sound complex, accessing calls from the two connections is relatively simple.
One of the most impressive feature is the 2.0-megapixel camera that comes with a host of effects as well as a 'continuous shot' option. The 'cont shot' allows users to automatically capture five shots in quick succession. And the image quality is impressive too (better than some of the cameras we have seen in other devices). Other features include an audio player (which delivers loud and clear sound), a video player, a video recorder, and a sound recorder. It comes with only 1MB of onboard memory.
Fortunately, a 512 MB memory card comes bundled with it. We expected the phone to be a battery guzzler, being a dual SIM device, but to our surprise, a single charge was enough for us to stay connected for more than a day. One of the main USPs of the phone has been its Internet browser. And the phone does deliver a good Internet experience, rendering HTML pages at a decent clip (up to 153 Kbps). Priced at Rs 8,000, the device is pretty much in a zone of its own at the moment.
