Budget Dual Sim Phone

With this dual SIM Bleu has also treaded into the touchscreen world but the experience was not impressive. Even calibration with the stylus didn’t make it any better. Its response pattern was erratic as at times it became quite sensitive but mostly it was a pain to use the touchscreen, especially while disconnecting a call. We would keep pressing the ‘abort’ call option but it didn’t help. Finally we had to press the cancellation key placed at the center of the D-Pad.

After Spice, Fly and Samsung, now its Bleu’s turn to enter the dual SIM arena with its 670x. Available in a contrast of black and silver, the handset looks exactly similar to the Magicon Motive MG727 but with a few changes here and there. The major difference being the conventional alphanumeric keypad. The keys dedicated for the two connections have been named as ‘I’ and ‘II’. Unlike the traditional placement of calling keys, these are placed to the left and right of the D-pad, which becomes very inconvenient to use. The call end key has been shifted to the center of the Dpad and has been replaced by ‘II’ key, which resulted in a lot of confusion. We often landed up pressing the calling key to abort a call.

This handset scores in terms of music quality. The music player gives a remarkable output, be it loudspeaker mode or headset. Be it bass, rock or normal equalizer the music output remains good and does not crack. It is surprising that the FM radio is missing in the handset, although the phone comes loaded with a music player. And for these multimedia features, the phone comes with an onboard memory of 204MB, which can be expanded. Accessing the Internet over this phone was a pleasant experience. The device picked up the GPRS settings automatically, saving us from the trouble of manually feeding them. Once the site was loaded scrolling through the display screen was pretty comfortable. To make sure you can remain in touch even when there is no power back up, the company has bundled an extra battery with the pack. While talking about battery it is worthwhile to mention that the 670x provides a talktime of three hours comfortably with thorough conversation, listening to music and surfing the net. Well, it’s not bad at all since it is a dual phone and touchscreen consumes a lot of battery.
