Motorola Droid Ultra is a phone, which has given a stiff competition to all the other smart phones in the market.

Motorola Droid Ultra Design and Build Quality

The phone looks very sleek and modern. It comes two colours black and a combination of red and black. The phone weighs only 137 grams and is only .5inches thick. The phone is thin and fits perfects in your hand. The screen is 5 inch HD AMOLED that gives a great display of 1280x720 resolutions. The batter of the phone has 28 hours of usage.

User Interface and Comfort to Use Motorola Droid Ultra

The phone is exclusive to Verizon network, which makes it an exclusive device. The phone is a combination of Motorola Droid and Android Jellybean 4.2.2. The UI is smooth and easy. Gesture controls such as rotating the phone to 45degree to activate the camera work very well. The Droid centre and Google Now can understand and adapt to voice commands with ease. The phone has 1.7 GHz of Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM. The internal memory is limited to 32GB.

Telephony and Phonebook

The phone supports 2G, 3G and 4G Verizon networks. Call quality is good. The phonebook can store unlimited entries.

Messaging and Emails

The phone comes with all the messaging and email features to help you stay in touch always.

Gallery, Photo Viewer and Video Player

The limited internal memory of the phone limits the storage capacity. Still you can save your favourites in it comfortably. The video player plays all the formats. Watching full HD video is not so pleasurable but still passable.

The phone does not have an FM Radio but does have a dedicated music player. Sound quality is good and the speaker works fine too.

The phone has a 10MP main camera and 2MP front camera. The main camera has flash, auto focus, zoom, colour balance, image stabilizer, shooting mode etc. features. The pictures are good and the colour vibrant.

Video camera of the phone can record smooth videos but high quality videos take up too much of space and you will have to be careful when recording.

Connectivity options on the phone include Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, 4G, NFC, Bluetooth, and USB. Wireless sharing is an interesting feature of the phone. You can share photos, videos etc. with other enabled devices wirelessly.

Organiser and Other Utility Tools

Organiser and tools include alarm, clock, calendar, calculator and to do list.

Web Browser and Applications

Android browser is smooth and fast. Applications include Facebook, Twitter, Google Mail, YouTube and chat.

Google Maps and GPS

The phone has A-GPS and Google maps are preloaded on the phone. The maps are very clear and adapted for mobiles and therefore do not eat up much of the data when you are navigating.

DROID ZAP: This feature allows you to transfer photos and videos to any nearby device with just an upward swipe of two fingers. Receivers can download the sent photos and videos by swiping two fingers downwards. The best part is that any Android device can install this software.

Moto Assist: Moto Assist app is feature that will take over all your worries for you. When you are driving it will auto read and reply to your messages. It will put your phone on silent when meets are scheduled in the calendar. Also when go to sleep the phone will automatically enter in silent mode.

Wireless display: This feature lets you transfer the photos, videos, games etc. on the phone’s small screen to a large screen.

Value for Money

The phone has not been released in India.
