Motorola Moto E (Gen 2) is a mid-range smartphone announced by US manufacturer Motorola in January, 2015 under Moto series. The buyers who want performance and looks at the same time can opt this smartphone. It comes with large screen, Lollipop OS, Quad- core processor, powerful battery and a 5MP camera. It is lashed with all the essential features which every user expect in their phone. Let's have a brief look of specification below:

Display and Design

The front of the phone adorns a 4.5- inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which has a display resolution of 960x540 pixels along with 16Million color depth and 245ppi pixel density. For the screen protection, it also have a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The height of the phone is measured as 130mm, width as 67mm, thickness as 11.9mm and it weighs around 143 grams. To automate some of daily tasks, it is also built with accelerometer and proximity sensor.

Processor and OS

At the heart of the phone resides a 1.2GHz Quad- core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and Adreno 305 GPU which is coupled with 1GB RAM to perform its basic operations. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system which is a latest version of OS and is set to provide improved design and new apps to the phone.

Camera and Memory

For the camera lovers, it is equipped with 5MP camera at the back panel which also offers some features like digital zoom, auto-focus, panorama mode and HDR. On the other hand, there is 0.3MP camera at front for the selfies of acceptable quality. One can also record HD video with the main camera. For the storage purpose, this handset comes pre-loaded with an internal memory of 8GB which can be further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

It works on 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G (HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100 MHz) network frequencies. Other connectivity features are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth, USB cable. While, it draws a day long usage period from non-removable lithium battery. For messaging, it allows SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email.

Shades

The Motorola Moto E (Gen 2) comes in only two color option such as Black and White.
