Apple Grabs 53% Market Share in USA
Apple's iPhone 5 has got the company a huge success, but Kantar has claimed that Apple obtained 53.3 percent of U.S. Smartphone market. In the three-month period ending November 25, more 50% Smartphone sold in the U.S. were Apple iOS products like iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S.
The Apple iPhone 5's release towards the end of the third quarter, apple has pushed its iOS sales to reach highest market share ever in the U.S. and it will likely be higher for the final numbers of fourth quarter sales. Android had a 61 percent market share, up from 51.8% the same period last year. Samsung retained the top spot with a 44.3 share of total sales putting Apple in second place with 25.3 percent.
