Asus Launches Zenfone 2 with 4GB RAM in India at INR 19,999

Taiwanese mobile maker ASUS as promised earlier, has launched the new Zenfone series smartphone for the Indian market dubbed as ASUS Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML). The company has shown its glimpse at the CES 2015 held in Las Vegas. It has been offered at a starting price of Rs. 14,999 (2GB model) which varies to Rs. 22,999 (4GB model). The company claims that its a first device in the market with 4GB RAM. Notably, the smartphone comes in total three variants - 2GB RAM/1.8 GHz Quad-core processor (16GB) and 4GB/2.3GHz quad-core processor (32GB) along with another 64GB Variant.

Feature wise, Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML come with a 5.5-inch display at front with 1920x1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and has two version of processor (mentioned above). The dimensions of the phone includes 152.5x77.2x10.9mm and it weighs at 170 grams. The device supports dual SIM configuration for using two SIM at time.

For the photography, it comes equipped with 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. Other camera features supported by the device are f/2.0 aperture, Real tone flash and 5-element lens. It ensures wonderful photography to its users. For the storage purpose again, there is three variants in internal memory- 16GB, 32GB and 64GB though all these variants are available with 4GB RAM but 2GB RAM model will support only 16GB internal memory. On connectivity front, it offers 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and GPS.

The company has fueled it up with a 3000mAh battery under the hood. It will be soon available in five exciting shades Glacier Grey, Osmium Black, Ceramic White, Sheer Gold and Glamor Red. Though, there is no official announcement regarding its sale but it is expected to be available after 14 days on Flipkart.com. While its pre-booking has started from April 23.
