ASUS to Launch MeMo Pad in US in April

Asus has unveiled a new tablet Asus MeMo Pad ME172V. This budget-friendly Android tablet is expected to be available in coming weeks in selected markets while in US from starting April 2013. The tablet packs a 7-inch touchscreen display of 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, 170ppi density, 140 degrees viewing angle, brightness of 350-nits and runs on  Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

New Asus MeMO Pad ME172V also offers a 1GHz VIA WM8950 processor along with Mali 400 graphics, 8GB / 16GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM and a MicroSD card slot up to 32GB. This low-cost tablet features a front-facing camera of 1MP with video recording capability of 720p, orientation sensor, MicroUSB port, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and a standard headphone jack.

The battery life of Asus ME172V is up to 7 hours of use. Its dimensions are 193 x 118 x 11 mm and weighs about 370 grams. The Asus MeMO Pad ME172V tablet is available in three colors, white, pink, and gray and it is expected to be priced around $150.
