Google has no Plans to Develop Windows Phone 8 Applications
Google has released a slew of a new apps and updates for Android and Apple iOS in recent weeks. The company has no plans to do the same for Windows Phone 8. When, asked by V3 if Google has any plans to deliver Gmail for Windows 8, Clay Bavor, product management director at Google Apps. Windows Phone 8 is not priority for Google. The company has apps for search and YouTube available for Windows Phone, but Google+, Google Maps, Google Drive, Google Music, and other products exclusive to Android and iOS.
Due to less demand, Google sees no value in investing resources to building and maintaining apps for a platform with a small percentage of users. Google is not the only company, to ignore Window Phones. Microsoft has managed to build its Windows Phone Store to house more than 120,000 apps, but it still trails the 700,000 apps available in Google Play and the App Store. Many marquee apps and games are not available on Windows Phone and the others are supported but, do not have as several features.
