HTC Desire 816 Launched in India for Rs. 24000

HTC has revealed the mid-range smartphone 'HTC Desire 816' in its Desire series this month. It is offered in India at the price of Rs. 24000 (approx., may vary). Company has introduced it by considering the demand of large screen phones in the market. Apart from Desire 816, HTC has also added one budget smartphone 'Desire 210 Dual' and one high-end 'HTC One M8' device in its portfolio.

Feature wise, this Dual SIM device has a good 5.5-inch HD display along with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. In the terms of look, it comes with a variety of color choice including Red, White, Purple, Green and Black. Dimensions of the phone are measured as 156.6x78.7x8 mm and it weighs 165 grams. This lightweight phone also comes with a 3.5mm headset jack.

Running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with HTC Sense 5.5, it is mated with a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 1.5GB of RAM. For the storage, it comes loaded with an inbuilt storage capacity of 8GB which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. Unlike the Ultrapixel camera, it comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 1080p HD recording and 5MP front-facing camera with capability of 720p HD recording.

In the terms of Connectivity, it offers 3G network, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS with A-GPS. To give a good battery back-up, this mobile phone is equipped with a 2600mAh battery. Additional features of the phone includes HTC BoomSound and Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers.

The Company has priced this mid-range smartphone with a very perfect price tag to compete with other mobiles in this segment like 'Sony Xperia T2 Ultra'.
