HTC One E8 with Polycarbonate Body Goes Official

HTC has officially announced the HTC One E8 which is expected to be launched by the end of the year. It is a variant of the HTC One (M8) which was unleashed back in March, 2014. The device has a polycarbonate body and comes in 4 striking colors including  Polar White, Electric Crimson, Maldives Blue and Misty Gray.

Talking about the specifications, the front features a 5.0-inch full HD touchscreen with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. To save the screen from scratches, it is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The Dual SIM phone got a length of 146.4 mm, width of 70.7 mm and a thickness of 9.9mm and carries a weight of 145 grams. It operated on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with HTC Sense 6.0 operating system and packs a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor along with Adreno 330 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit).

For clicking pictures, the device comes loaded with a rear camera of 13MP with LED flash and a 5MP of camera at the front. For the storage, it has an internal memory of 16GB, 2GB RAM and 128GB of external memory which can be further used by inserting  a microSD card. The phone is offered in Chinese market at 2,799 Chinese Yuan that is around Rs. 26,500 approx according to the Indian currency.

HTC One E8 houses a 2600 mAh battery that offers a good talk-time as well as stand-by time. On the connectivity front, it is packed with several options like WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+ and GPS with GLONASS. The device also offers FM radio with RDS and 3.5 mm headset jackfor entertainment. It has dual front-facing stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers and and HTC BoomSound technology which is capable to produce clear and high-end sound.

The new invention by the company will give a good competition to OnePlus One in the terms of features as well as price.
