5-inch "Meizu M1" Officially Announced for $110

The Chinese electronic company, Meizu has made an announcement of adding new mid-range smartphone, "Meizu M1" in its M series. It will be priced around S110. It is seen as the direct competitor to the recently updated 'Xiaomi Redmi 2'. Both these companies are launching their best featured smartphones in the market to make their name in the market competition. That's the reason, Xiaomi make some updation in its existing smartphone to fulfill every requirement of the users.

Talking about Meizu M1's specifications, it has a large 5-inch display at front along with a screen resolution of 1280x768 pixels. At the heart, it packs a 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU and 64-bit MediaTek MT6732 SoC that is coupled with 1GB RAM. But, if we compare this aspect of M1 with Xiaomi Redmi 2, Redmi 2 scores more point with 2GB. If we talk about its physical appearance, it is thinner and bigger than Redmi 2. It has a height of 140.2mm, width of 72.1mm, thickness of 8.9mm as its dimensions.

For the camera lovers, it brings a wonderful 13MP primary camera and 5MP front-facing camera along with a bundle of features. Storage wise, it  comes loaded with 8GB internal memory which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The company  has fueled it up with a 2610mAh battery for the day long usage. On connectivity front, it offers GPS, GLONASS, 4G LTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. While if we talk about its rival Redmi 2, it packs a 4.7-inch IPS display, 1.2GHz Cortex A53 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and 32GB expandable memory through microSD card, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera. Redmi Note draws a backup from 2200mAh battery.

The Meizu M1 will be available in Yellow, Pink, Green, Blue and White color. While, in China, it is available to pre-order after February 5, 2015.
