Mercury officially launches 'mTAB Star' tablet

As many brands are offering 7inch tablet device in India, Kobian has also introduced its new tablet dubbed as 'Mercury mTAB Star'. It is going to face tough competition to attract the buyers in the market.

Talking about the features, mTAB Star comes with a 7 inch multi-touch screen with display resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It is running Android 4.1 OS, though its version is listed as Ice Cream Sandwich in its official website, but Android 4.1 is the Jelly Bean version, so it is not sure which OS version it is running on. At its heart, it is powered by a 1GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor with MediaTek Chipset  along with 512 MB of RAM.

In the terms of connectivity, it support Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI output and 3G connectivity via SIM slot. Camera feature of the tablet include rear camera of 2MP with LED flash and front facing camera of 0.3MP. Mercury mTab Star is powered with a 3000mAH battery.

Company has not yet revealed the price of the tablet but it is expected to be priced in the entry level segment. Customers can buy it in the first week of September 2013 with the warranty of 1 Year.
