Micromax Canvas Tabby Android Tablet Launched for Rs. 6499

Micromax has launched kids special tablet under Canvas series by the name of 'Canvas Tabby P469'. It has been offered at a price tag of INR 6,499. It comes with dual use mode - Parent mode and kids mode. The kids mode is specially designed with privacy features through which parents can limit the time of use and can keep check on their activities. For the kids, company has also included 500 videos on education and creativity along with 100 applications. Moreover, parents can also set profile for their child.  

Feature wise, the Micromax Canvas Tabby P469 come with a 7-inch TFT display at front with 1024x600 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek 8312 processor and 1GB RAM. The operating system version offered in the tab is an Android 4.4 KitKat. The tablet supports dual SIM configuration to allow its users to use two SIM's at time. On the camera front, it comes equipped with a 2MP camera at back panel and 0.3 MP camera at front. The front camera also allows its users video calling. The Kids mode comes powered by a parental dashboard called EddyPaddy. It is designed and developed by Educren, a kids-content company.  

In the terms of storage, it packs an internal memory of 8GB which can be further expandable through microSD card. The connectivity attributes of the tablet are 3G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth. While for the backup, company has aided this device with 3200mAh battery under the hood. It is exclusively available on the Flipkart.com in White color only from today for the limited period of 3 weeks. The company will make it available on other retailers later. There is no official information about the date and time of availability.  

While on the launch event, CEO of Micromax, Vineet Taneja said, "We are already well on our way to getting to a market leadership positioning in the Tablet category with our portfolio of 7-and-8 inch tablets. We are now reinforcing our commitment to deepen tablet penetration in the country through the launch of this new offering we’re calling the Tabby, with which we also enter an exciting new consumer segment with a specialized offering."
