Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual SIM launched in India for INR. 11999
Microsoft Lumia has launched a new budget smartphone for the Indian market dubbed as 'Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual SIM' for INR. 11999. It mainly targets the rising market of budget smartphones and is all-set to beat its rivals in the race. It was first showcased at the MWC held in Bercelona this year. On the event, the Director of Microsoft Mobile devices, TS Sridhar said,
"Consumers today are constantly looking for a device to bring them more flexibility to switch easily between work and play. The Lumia 640 XL andLumia 640 are the perfect devices that are enablers of productivity, busting the 9 to 5 myth by letting you achieve more on your own terms,".
Features wise, it comes with 5-inch HD clearback IPS display with 1280x720 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection to avoid any kind of scratch and damage. At the heart, it packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system which is upgradable to the Windows 10. As its name suggests, it supports dual SIM configuration to let you use two SIM's at time.
For the shutterbugs, it brings 8MP camera fitted at the back with LED flash feature to ensure superb quality picture. It also includes 1MP camera at front for the front shots. In the terms of memory, it comes laoded with a 8GB internal memory and an expandable memory support of 128GB via microSD card. The 3.5mm jack and FM Radio is also there in the phone for the entertainment purpose. On connectivity front, it offers 3G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. For the backup, the company has fueled it up with a 2500mAh battery under the hood.
