Motorola Moto X Play with 21MP Camera & 3630mAh Battery Officially Announced

The leading mobiles manufacturer 'Motorola' today announced its new smartphone dubbed as 'Moto X Play'. It is available in 'White' and 'Black' shades and is being offered with replaceable flip shells and Moto Maker customization.

The sale of this smartphone is going to start from August in 55 countries which includes Canada, Europe and Latin America, but would not be available in US. The pricing and roll out details for Asia are not confirmed yet.

The Moto X Play supports a 5-inch full HD display that has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels with good viewing angles. It comes coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection in order to protect the display from scratches and fingerprints. The dimensions of the handset are 148x75x8.9x10.9mm and it carries a weight of 169 grams. For the users’ multi-tasking requirements, it uses an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU which is coupled with 2GB RAM.

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system has been offered for the smooth functioning of the device. This new smartphone comes loaded with two memory variants i.e. 16GB or 32GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB with the help of microSD card. As far as camera department is concerned, Motorola Moto X Play packs a 21MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.

For the purpose of selfies and video calls, it supports a 5MP front facing camera which is quite decent for beautiful self-portraits. Under the connectivity section, it has good number of features like 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n (dual band) etc.

It is energized by a 3630mAh battery that offers up to 48 hours of battery life with mixed use and comes packed with Motorola TurboPower 25 charger that will give quick charge with minutes. Like other Motorola smartphones the handset also has water repellent coating. It has Moto Assist, Moto Voice, Moto Display and Moto Actions.
